Chapter 36

Emily still couldn't understand what Alex was doing. He eventually decided on his own to take Emily back to Jason. Emily doesn't even ask for it anymore.

She has resigned and has no desire to return, especially after Alex shows a photo where Jason is so happy with Tamara.

Emily's chest was so tight, imagining what would happen to her after returning to Jason. However, this is the right choice so that she can see with her own eyes whether Jason is still with Tamara or not.

If it turns out to be accurate, then what? Will Emily be able to choose to return to Alex if it turns out that Jason did that to her—as Alex said?

Emily did not answer Alex's words. She finished her food, then waited until Alex was ready to take her back to the man who would soon become the father of the baby she was carrying.

The man who had become her husband had promised many beautiful things long ago. She should be happy, but that's not how she feels now. She feels empty as if her soul is drifting somewhere.
