Chapter - 11 :- A musical night.

I wear a red Rajasthani Rajputana dress and my mother helps me set my dupatta. I wore ornaments suitable for my dress And had a simple hairstyle. I wear Mojadi on both of my legs. I put lipstick on my lips and do a little makeup to complete my look.

My mother looks beautiful in a blue Rajasthani Rajputana dress and I compliment her that " you're looking, gorgeous mummy".

She gives a smile and tells me that " You're looking beautiful dear. I hope someone's evil eye doesn't affect you "

After getting dressed up properly I reached Meera's room and she was wearing her Mojadi. She looks beautiful in Maroon colour lehenga and greyish white colour full sleeve blouse and matching dupatta. Her hairstyle was perfect and her makeup looked great. Two - three girls from the parlour came to prepare her for this function. She looks very beautiful.

I told her, " Meera, you're looking gorgeous dear."

She told me, " Thanks for the compliment dear and you're looking beautiful in this Rajputi dress "

I told her, that "Thanks, dear."

Then we both go to the ground near her house where beautiful decorations are done by lights.

On one side the stage is set up for the music team to sing a song and on the other side of the ground, chairs are put for the seating of elders.

On the ground women, men, and children all are dressed up beautifully and doing the Garba on the beat of a song sung by a singer from the stage.

Me and Meera start playing Garba on the beat of Music and We join others who are playing Garba already on the ground.

We all enjoyed doing the Garba and the focus of the photographer and video man who is taking the video is on us.

We start from doing simple Garba and then after some time, we change our style of Garba.

We are many people who are doing the Garba and we all make a big round on the ground. In the round many male and female, my sisters and brothers, my mother and father, uncle and aunty all are enjoying doing the Garba.

Elder people who can't do the Garba for longer periods are seated on a chair on the ground and watch the people who are doing the Garba.

We danced for about an hour and after that we all took a break, and the music stopped.

We all are seated on different corners of the ground and the centre of the ground is empty.

My uncle took the mic and announced that this is break time for everyone and if someone wants to sing something can come on the stage and entertain everyone.

And I know after this announcement my little brother will be the first one to sing and after that queue will be formed to sing a song because I come from a caste where everyone knows singing and almost anyone can sing a song in public.

So my assumption is right. My brother goes on the stage and sings one beautiful Chhand and Charaj (It means a song which is dedicated to goddess and god ). We all give him a round of applause.

After my brother's performance, my other cousins are ready to give their performance. One of my brothers sings a song on the love of brother and sister.

One of my brothers sings a song about the love of a daughter and father. My one brother sings a Hindi romantic song. One brother sings a Hindi dance song and Punjabi dance song.

One of my uncles sings Duha and Garba songs. All songs, Duha, Charaj are in the Gujarati language. We all appreciate them by giving a round of applause. I love the performance of all of them.

While we all are enjoying these beautiful performances, snacks are given to all the audience. Me and Meera sit together with our families and cousins.

I loved all the performances by my brother, cousins and uncles.

My mother is also a good singer. My mother sings Gujarati 'Lagna geet'. My brother loves to sing a song and he is very good at it.

I love to listen to music. I can sing a song but I didn't sing a song in public and I'm not even planning to sing in public.

I love to hear all kinds of songs. I listen to sad, romantic, motivational , dance songs, sufi songs, Duha, Charaj and traditional folk songs of India.

It depends upon my mood and according to my mood I listen to the songs.

Sometimes if I hear any song and like it too much I start listening to it in a loop.

No matter how many years have passed, some music and songs become evergreen.

Sometimes I listen to songs of different languages to feel the music.I love the original songs more than the remake of those songs. I love the cover songs of the old songs in which they don't spoil the original songs. Nowadays many Hindi songs are remakes of old songs but I liked only a few.

We're enjoying the performance while having snacks and coffee. Meera also loved the whole performance while having the snacks and tea.

Meera sings beautifully but today she doesn't want to sing. She just wants to enjoy the performances.

When on vacation we all meet together, we all sing together and have all kinds of fun together.

Meera has done many singing performances in her school and college also.

Sometimes in my life

I feel like capturing all the moments with my feelings in my heart and cherish them my whole life. Camera can capture the moment but can't capture the feelings.

I know that I can't capture all the moments of my life on camera so I want to capture all the moments in my heart.

I don't like going to social functions and gatherings but I love to meet the people who are close to me. I love to attend the functions in which I can meet Meera and my other cousins, because without cousins and siblings any functions become boring.

I was preparing for the last many days for Meera's wedding and here I'm at her home with her tomorrow is her wedding day. Time doesn't stop and passes fast.

My snacks are finished and I started drinking coffee on a cold winter night. It feels good to drink hot coffee. We danced more than two hours continuously so I and others who danced with us didn't feel cold.

When I was enjoying drinking coffee one person came on the stage. I don't know who he is.
