CHAPTER 10

She was so defensive that she raised her voice and interrupted Sandra and Kian's sweetness; they were now looking at her with confused expressions on their faces due to the noise she caused.

"What happened?" Sandra inquired.

Her smile was forced. "I-I'm sorry, I just screamed because it felt like a cockroach was crawling up my leg."

"Lucius? Is there a cockroach here?" Sandra elevated her legs on the chair in fear. "Why do you have cockroaches in your condo, and why are you not cleaning it?"

Lucius stood up and shook his head, carrying his own plate and placing it in the sink. Her gaze was fixed on the young man's every action. He looked at her before leaving the kitchen.

Lucius was just sitting on the terrace, taking in some fresh air and pondering on what had happened the night before. He was more concerned with that than with his problems.
