With Austin so close, Shelby couldn't think. Her thoughts were scrambled and instead of wanting to leave, she wanted to stay, she wanted to keep Austin for herself even though she didn't think it was possible.

"Tell me what's going on in there?" he asked as he tapped her temple with a finger.

Looking up into his eyes, she was lost, lost to anything and everything going on around them. "I was coming to tell you that I was ready to give us a shot, a real shot."

A smile pulled at his lips and he finally said, "You mean it? You'll be my girlfriend?"

"That's what I'd been coming to tell you."

His face fell. "Why do I get the feeling you've changed your mind?"

"Did you mean it?"

"Mean what?"
