Chapter 37 – Love Fever

Jett lost consciousness almost immediately after returning. His guard told me he already lost a lot of blood and I realized simple first aid won't do. I looked up at the guard I summoned and asked, "Could you please contact our private doctor?"

He nodded and left without a word. Sighing, I looked down at the unconscious man beside me.

Do I take this chance to kill him? I wonder. I must've done a good job earning his trust and love if he's comfortable being this vulnerable in front of me. My Hawk side was telling me to grab the medical scissors in the kit and just stab him, but another side of me was strongly against it. Sighing, I let it be and cradled him gently until the guard returned.

Feelings are so complicated. Love is so difficult. Why can't I choose who to fall in love with? Why him? My heart should remain only for Jaguar. Yet why do I not see Jaguar's face in him anymore?

I looked up and saw the guard scurry to us with a man in a white coat.

"Good day, madame, I
