"Given his record," the prosecutor said.

"Objection, your honor, all previous charges against my client were dropped," my attorney interrupted.

My plan to avoid prison would go into action soon. In the meantime, my attorney was trying to negotiate a way for me to not go to jail. Luckily, I had given him a heads up on what was to come. I didn't go into specific detail about the whole situation, but I gave my attorney enough information that he could plan out how the entire case would go.

Despite knowing everything would work out in my favor, I worried about the person sitting two rows behind me. I didn't expect Daphnie to attend the hearing. Although she accepted me when she found out I had a record, would she stay by my side now that accusations were made? Would she believe those accusations? I knew she didn't want to.
