My heart skipped when the lights switched on as soon as I entered my room. I had snuck out to go meet Kelvin and thought Anna would be asleep when I came back but here she was in my room while staring at me suspiciously.

"Hey," I greeted nervously, hoping that I didn't have a suspicious look on my face.

"Don't hey me, Alice! I searched everywhere for you thinking that something might have happened to you so don't you try to greet me and tell me where you were and why you're coming home this late at night!" she demanded in a harsh tone.
