"Well if that's what you want to do, then I can't stop you, however, I don't think that's smart at all because you still don't know who was trying to kill you, and they might try to harm you again if you go back completely unprepared," Eric said and paused to hold my hands before he continued to speak.

"And about the fact that you want to be able to go on dates freely with me, I'm afraid you might not be able to do that because like I said, you are like a freaking celebrity, and you got eyes on your every move, and that is going to make it hard for us to meet in public places," Eric finished saying before looking at me.

Eric had been looking down at our hands while he spoke, and I kept staring at him while thinking that somehow, he must have been trying to avoid eye contact with me.
