Eric’s POV,

"You still love her, don’t you, that’s the reason why you said you couldn’t fall in love with me right"? Keerah uttered in a soft voice, more in a statement like than a question, but I remained quiet.

I didn’t know what to say to her. I couldn’t outwardly deny her accusations, because what she said aren’t entirely a lie, neither are they the complete truth.

Since I couldn’t tell Keerah I still love jade, and I couldn’t deny and say I don’t, I decided to just tell her something that might be believable.

However, before I could say it, she quickly said I shouldn’t worry about it, and that I didn’t have to answer her question.

I could clearly hear the disappointment from the way her voice sounded, but I know she was trying to act okay.

"Hey, that’s not the reason why I said that, I just didn’t want you to expect anything from our relationship, it’s not because I still love her," I said, breaking the ice like silence.
