Last day on the island

Keerah's POV.

I woke up very early today because I couldn't sleep last night. Today was the day we leave this place, and I've been feeling too anxious about everything.

I looked beside me to see Eric still asleep which was a rare sight because he's mostly up and gone every morning before I woke up.

I got out of the bed gently, not wanting to wake him up. It was still too early, I could barely even see clearly inside the cave, but I still managed to put on my shoes and left the cave to go outside.

I wanted to do everything I knew I'd miss after we leave the island and the list wasn't that long so I figured I'd be able to get them all done, probably before Eric wakes up.

The first thing I wanted to do was go to the field of roses and lilies.

So I walked slowly in the path that leads to the field. However, before I completely left the cave's entrance, I looked back at the cave, at the beautiful weeds that had grown around the cave wall acting like wallpapers.
