Eric's POV

When Keera asked if we could stay a little bit longer, I looked at her with a raised eyebrow not sure if she meant it or if she only said that to pull my legs since she always seems to be joking, but when I asked her why, what she said and how her face looked so down, which was totally the opposite of the jovial person she was just a couple of seconds ago, and that made realization dawned on my face.

I was only thinking about myself, I didn't consider if Keera wanted to leave just yet. I mean I remember her saying she doesn't want to leave just a few days ago, I should have known she'd be scared to face the outside world, completely oblivious of whom to trust out there.

And that reminds me of my thoughts on how I'd planned to let her stay with me and gauge the situation before letting her go back home because I needed to be sure that she is safe to be back home. I wanted to tell her we might be able to stay a few more days, but I had to check a few things first before I do
