Chapter 2: Not A Blood Relative

"Ash, baby..." Sirius tried to look into her beautiful eyes rather than her big, soft, perfect bosom.

"You know I have to go to work. It's also an emergency. I'll be right back when I'm done." He answered.

"Hmm... Alright." Ashley hugged him and rested her head on his firm, broad chest.

Sirius hugged her small body compared to him, while gently stroking her back.

Ashley loved this warm feeling. She feels safe and loved.

Sirius is always by her side, in her best and worst. Her ruthless mafia step-brother was the most important and dearest person to her in this entire world.

After they arrived at her campus, Sirius kissed her forehead affectionately and told her the driver and bodyguards he ordered were always stand by.

Ashley got out of the car and stared at the line of cars that drove her, wenr away until they disappeared from the University gates.

She, steadily stepped on her new favorite place. This is a famous University in this city. She was excited to learn and compete for a better feature.

She walked along the hallway full of new faces smiled at her when a voice calling out to her.

She turned around. It's Jean. Her best friend in high school. They walked together to their first class.

**

"So, you think you like your step-brother more than before?" Jean asked in a low whisper. They were currently having lunch in the large, terraced campus cafeteria.

Eager to get a closer look at the gardens and fountains, Ashley suggested they had their lunch in the first floor.

"Yeah. I think so. I always blush every time I see Bubba. I love him because Bubba is the one who’s always there for me. He is the only family I have left. He also really cares and loves me no matter what my situation is. Also... He’s a perfect 10." Ashley covered her face while shaking her head vigorously.

She remembered every time her handsome step-brother woke her up, or the big burly body he showed every time he finished taking a shower and was only wrapped in a towel around his waist.

Oh! Ashley grew even more embarrassed when she remembered getting there. She didn't understand her own mind.

Since when did she start thinking about her Bubba like that?

"Eeh... Ash you need to stop. Your head can come off, if you keep going like that." Jean held back her best-friend’s head that kept shaking because Ashley couldn't stop thinking about her overly sexy brother.

She was sure at this moment, her face must be red like a boiled shrimp.

"Oh my gosh you're really in love huh. Your face is so red." Jean laughed so loudly that it attracted the attention of those around them for a moment.

"Shh... Stop it Jean! I'm embarrassed! But yeah, what about it? Am I wrong? Bubba is my step-brother though."Her face suddenly gloomy and sad.

"You guys are step-brother and sister aren’t you?" Asked Jean to which Ashley nodded.

"That means there's nothing wrong. None a bit wrong. You're not siblings or have any blood ties at all. So that's fine." She answered, giving a thumbs up which made Ashley smiled in relief.

"That's true, but what if Bubba doesn't feel the same way that I do?" Ashley was sad again. She was afraid that if she clearly showed her feelings, Sirius would feel uncomfortable and walk away from her.

"How about you finding it out?" Jean suggested.

"How exactly?" Ashley tilted her head, made her looked really cute.

"Ask directly?" Jean smiled widely when she saw her friend's surprised expression.

"Impossible!" Ashley whispered half screaming.

"I don't want to! That's embarrassing! And if Bubba doesn't feel the same,  he'll think I'm weird and annoying and stay away from me!" Ashley shook her head. Trying to get rid of the scene where Sirius feels irritated with her presence.

"Hehe, sorry I just wanted to see your reaction." Jean scratched the back of her head.

"What if you act even more spoiled than usual? If he accepts it and even responds happily. It's likely that he likes you too. If he doesn't respond or has a strange expression on his face, it means he only has feeling as a brother to you." Jean said obviously.

Ashley nodded at her suggestion and planned to do so when Sirius come home.

"By the way, I wonder why you still call him Bubba, when his name is Sirius." Jean asked.

"Didn't I ever tell you?" Jean replied shaking her head.

"When I was a little, I couldn't say "brother" so I used to say "Bubba". Until it becomes kinda habit, I guessed." She smiled, remembering that Sirius also called her ‘baby’ or ‘princess’.

"Ohhh .. your tongue was short when you were little." Jean's  responded to that explanation.

The two of them giggled and continued their conversation.

Not too far from their table, a few of Ashley's bodyguards dressed like normal college students were also sitting and had their lunch.

They disguised themselves as students, so as not to make Ashley uncomfortable and also not to attract the attention of others.

Meanwhile, the two clueless girl attracted the attention of a group of male students that were sitting at a table in the corner of the room.

They talk about how beautiful and sexy the girl with long black hair, Ashley.

They even talk indecently commenting on Ashley's body which is indeed perfect. Her skin is white and smooth. They lusted over her like a beast.

Meanwhile Ashley didn't notice the mischievous stares on her.

Until she was home, she was still thinking about her brother. Did Sirius like her too? Or maybe he already has a girlfriend out there?

Her step-brother is very handsome. There is no way with such a perfect face and body, he is still single. She thought sadly.

Meanwhile, Sirius is currently in the process of interrogating his employees who guard his warehouse of illegal firearms.

He lost fourteen new weapons that he had just finished crafting.

His anger was running high and everyone was standing with their heads down and their bodies shaking.

A man lay on the ground covered in blood, with a shattered face and broken hands. Even the his eyeballs were out of place.

He was the man who had been staring at Ashley this morning with a perverted eyes, made Sirius angrier and took it out on the spot.

"Well, at least you're smart when you don't run away. So your death could be quick and easy. I'm just adding some spice because you've been presumptuous of looking at my baby with those disgusting eyes of yours." Sirius said expressionlessly as he stared at the man's corpse.

"All of you. Anyone want to follow him?" Sirius asked. Look around carefully.

Right now there are 30 people who guard and work in the armory, plus, the rest of 50 are his other men, he brought specifically to execute traitors that disguise themselves around them.

They just stood still and didn't dare to move. Ah. That's right, who wants to seek death by attracting the attention of an angry beast?

Suddenly there were gunshots and his men yelled from outside. Get them all on alert.

Several guards directly protected their boss, Sirius, who gave the code for all of them to take their positions and stand guard.

They are attacked.

Less than an hour later, Sirius and his group managed to subdue the attacker.

They are a gang of robbers who are still amateurs and ignorant. They were the ones who stole the guns a few nights ago.

It was their recklessness and stupidity that made them all die tonight.

Sirius was cleaning his gun, and was sitting on the table wiping it.

"Clean up these filth. Don't let them stain my territory." Sirius ordered his men to dispose of the bodies and remains of the robbers, as well as two of his men who betrayed him.

Of course he knew who the traitor was among them. There was no way such an amateur and weak robber could steal from him, if no one helped them.

Sirius's phone vibrated in his pocket and he took a deep breath. Who dared to call him at a time like this.

If there is nothing urgent from his men then there is only one person who can contact him freely at this time.

That's right, the call was from his beloved Ashley. He immediately picked it up. Ashley never called this late, unless it was really important.

"Baby? What's wrong?" Sirius answered the phone with a flat tone and his handsome face without any expression.

He didn't hear a single answer, instead he heard her sobs.

"Baby? What's wrong, princess?" Sirius was now standing straight, even though his tone and face didn't show any expression. In his heart, he was very worried.

"Bub-Bubba..." Ashley cried. Sirius felt like his chest tighten until it hurt. It happen when he heard her cry.

He really didn’t like his Ashley who was cheerful and full of the light of his happiness to be sad and in tears.

"Yes, baby girl. What's wrong? Any problem? Are you there alone?" Sirius started walking out of the barn and toward his car. His expression didn't change, his tone softened slightly.

He gestured the driver who was waiting for them, to return to the mansion.

Ashley's next answer stunned him.

"Bubba... Do you really dislike me? That you love and marry someone else?"
