Chapter 2

She slid down on the ground and held her chest as she kept on staying ‘Oh No’. She didn't want to fall in love with her boss because she didn’t want a cliche love story. She loved the idea of love but to fall in love with her boss she found that cliche.

“I can’t fall for my boss…I CAN’T!” She yelled and went back to work.

The next day, Jasmine woke up but was still laying in bed and looking at her ceiling. It was Sunday so the company wasn't open on Sundays unless Sebastian had something important coming up and wanted all hands on deck. Jasmine laid there and turned on her side and side and hugged her pillow and sighed.

"Why is he acting like that? Doesn't he have a child and wife... God" she mumbled to herself and got up and went to get dressed. She was going out with her friend. She went and got ready. She put on the flowy dress and flat shoes and wore her hair down and packed a small bag and went and called her friend. Her friend answered.

"Hello?" he asked and was getting ready also.

"Ryle, I'm almost near the bus stop, are you ready?" she asked as she was walking to the bus stop.

"Yes, I'm leaving now. Meet you at the mall" he said and smiled and took up his bag and walked out and went to the bus stop.

"Okay, bye-bye," she said and hung up and sat on the bench and waited for the bus to come. The bus came after 5 minutes and she went on it and paid and sat at a seat and the bus drove off heading to its next stop.

Sebastian was on his way to the mall with his daughter. She wanted a new toy she saw on the television and also he had shopping to do for new suits and dresses for his daughter and groceries. He drove to the stoplight and waited. The light turned green and he drove to the mall. He reached the mall and drove to the parking lot and parked there and then got out and took his daughter out and lifted her up and walked to the entrance of the mall and went to his suite boutique and waited.

Ryle had reached there and was waiting for her. Jasmine reached a couple of minutes and she walked up behind him and hugged him from behind and smiled.

"Hey~," she said and smiled and looked at him and went in front of him and he smiled and hugged her tightly and spun her around. They haven't seen each other in a long time and were happy to see each other.

"Hey Jasmine, how are you?" He asked and smiled and looked at her.

"I have been great" she said and held her hands and went inside the mall holding his hands.

"That's great! God, I haven't seen you in a long time" he said and smiled and put his arms around her neck and she smiled and held his hands.

Ryle William, 24 years old, has been friends with Jasmine ever since the starting of high school. He has always been there for her ever since then. He was her comforter when things got bad but he had a secret and he has never told her and hoping one day to tell her but not any time soon.

She told him about her new job and he was happy for her but she left out where she and Sebastian made advancement to her and while she was thinking about it she blushed and Ryle looked at her confused.

"Hey what's wrong?" he asked and felt her forehead and looked at her and she blushed and looked at him.

"O-o-oh, I'm okay, it just got a little bit hot" she said and smiled and looked past Ryle and saw Sebastian coming out of the store and hid and hugged him and he looked at her.

"What wrong?" he asked and she smiled.

"Nothing I-I just missed you so I'm hugging you" she said and smiled and looked at him and he rubbed her back and walked with her to the store and they both got tired of clothes and bought clothes.

3 hours passes and they were walking out and Sebastian was walking out also and bumped into each other.

"Oh Jasmine...fancy seeing you here" Sebastian said in a tone and looked at Ryle and Ryle looked at him and Jasmine smiled.

"Yes sir, it's nice to see you again" she said and laughed nervously and looked at the both of them who were looking at each other and glaring at each other.

"Um sir, this is my friend, Ryle...Ryle this is my boss at Royal Publishing....the company I started to work at yesterday" she said and smiled and looked at them and was clearing the air but it didn't work since they were both looking at each other.

Eventually they shook hands and broke eye contact and looked at her.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow" Sebastian said and looked at her and walked away holding his daughter. Ryle looked at him as he walked away and scoffed and crossed his arm.

" I don't like him" he said and Jasmine looked at him confused.

"What? Why? You just met him and don't even know him" she said and looked at him.

"I know and I don't like him, '' he said and walked to the bus stop. She smiled and followed behind him and held his hands and smiled and walked with him to the bus stop. Their bus arrived and they went on their bus and went home.

Jasmine reached home and went in and put up the clothes in her clothes and bathed and made dinner and sat down and ate. She texted Ryle telling him she reached and he answered. After she was done, she went to her closet and took out a suit and ironed it and packed her bag and cleaned her shoes. After she had finished all that, she went and laid on her bed and looked at the ceiling and sighed deeply.

"Okay Sebastian, I'm ready for whatever stunt you are pulling tomorrow" she mumbled to herself and sighed. "Who am I kidding? I don't even know when he pulls stunts like that" she said and turned off her lamp and went to bed.

Sebastian had already reached home and put the clothes and groceries away and had already put Mia in her bed and changed her clothes. He went to his room and changed his clothes into something comfortable and poured some whiskey and went to the balcony and drank and looked in the sky and smiled.

"Tomorrow will be an excellent day" he said and drank and then after he went to brush his teeth and then went to bed and fell asleep.
