Chapter 41

"And what would that be?" Cecilia asked impatiently. 

"Raise my dead child back to life, " Isabel said and stood, she tore the divorce papers and threw the pen away, she walked away from her. 

Once Isabel arrived home, she sat numbly on her bed, the scene at the Dave's celebration event played before her, the part where her husband ridiculed her before everyone. She only let out a painful laugh. She had no appetite to eat, she slept with an empty stomach that night. 

When it was a Monday morning, Isabel took a cab to her new work place, Dewey's company. When she arrived there, she noticed an unusual atmosphere, it was an unfriendly one. 

Many of her colleagues who had welcomed her gleefully in previous days suddenly became cold towards her, she could not understand the reason for their sudden change as some were even gossiping about her. 

Could it be that Cecilia had influenced one of the workers that in turn came here to alter
