48: Alice’s POV
It was weird staying with my dad after not seeing him for so long. He had reappeared into my life as quickly as he had left it and part of me still resented him for it. He had shown us around, taking us downtown to go shopping the second day and to the pier on the third. He seemed genuinely happy and after everything we had been through I couldn't blame him for moving out here. He seemed to love Blair which had surprised me at first but then again, my mother was always the homophobic one. We had to head home tomorrow in order to make it back in time for Sarah's birthday and honestly I was a bit sad to be leaving so soon.
"What time do you two gotta be at the airport tomorrow?" My dad asked looking over at us from across the table

I woke up on a cement floor surrounded by thick walls made of cinder blocks. My head was pounding and as I looked down at my hands I remembered why. Everything came back to me in a blur causing my head to spin as I processed everything. I crawled onto my hands and knees and groaned as aches soared through my entire body. ~Graduation Day~This year had been crazy, there had been ups and downs but I still wouldn't change a thing. Scott was arrested and won't be getting out of prison for an extremely long time. There was so much evidence against him that the case might as well have been settled before it even began. I missed my senior trip due to being in the hospital but I couldn't have had a better prom. Everything had been crazy in the past few weeks between planning the book release and tour, buying a new house, and moving in with Alice. It was a pain in the ass trying to find somewhere to move into quickly but as luck would have it we found the perfect place to call home. Alice had said it was a bit over the top but I disagreed considering I didn't care how much it costed. I paid for it in full in order to avoid having a mortgage, something I never thought in a million years I'd be able to afford at only eighteen. I could tell that it bothered Alice slightly that I was paying for everything but I knew it was the perfect home and that she would've been stressed trying to split the costs. She had put her house up for sale and hadn't had any interested buyers quite yet. My landlord had allowed me to break the lease without any problems which I was extremely grateful for. The past week we'd been moving everything and it was fucking exhausting.
