Early, the next morning…

Rex stayed behind to look after Cherry while Maria went to visit her parent (not by choice) to learn some cooking ideas from her mother and give Cherry and Rex some privacy. Rex made sure to cook Cherry something light the previous night so she can sleep but he didn’t know she was a heavy eater, she ate three plates of scrambled eggs but didn’t finish the slices of bread he gave her.

Rex spent half of his sleep time on a sofa by the corner which gave him neck and back pains but later joined Cherry on the bed when she constantly switch position on the bed to find comfort. He tried the first method Jerry taught him ‘pillow support’ but it didn’t work so he got in and became the comfort she was searching for and now it’s past dawn and Cherry is still asleep in his arms.
