Odette stared silently at the house in front of her. It was a simple house with dominant white, similar to the color of the snow that was currently falling. Her gaze then moved to the pile of snow briefly. Seeing that made her realize that the current time in Panthera and this place was the same.
After pondering for a moment, Odette opened the door, walked inside, and was stunned to find the house in the same condition as the last time she left. Nothing had changed.
She thought the house must be dusty and covered in cobwebs, but it wasn’t.
“You can thank Mia. While you were away, she took excellent care of this house,” Hans said from behind. “Let’s get inside,” he added.
“I’ll make tea.” Mia walked into the kitchen, and Alvin ran behind her.
“When you were away, I stayed here with Mia and Alvin.” Hans sat on the couch while Odette stared at the photo of her and her mother hanging on
Then, Odette got off the bed and walked towards the desk. “Thanks for bringing the food. This is the first and the last time you bring me food like this,” she said as she pulled up a chair and sat on it.Hans didn’t say anything anymore. He sat on the chair across from Odette while waiting for the girl to finish the food.“Senior, you may come out now. I can eat alone,”“You kicked me out?”“It’s not like that. Have Mia and Alvin eaten yet?”“Yes. The three of us ate together earlier. I didn’t wake you up because you slept so well.”Odette nodded. Lately, she has been lacking sleep because of various problems.“What do you think about Mia?” she asked in passing.“She’s a good girl,” Hans replied flatly.“Just good?”“What are you trying to say?”“You guys have lived here
Odette fell silent for a moment, remembering Uncle Mike, a psychiatrist who once helped her mother from losing control of herself. Uncle Mike was one of the people who played an important role in helping her and her mother. The man was also the one who motivated her to become a psychiatrist. It all started when she saw her mother, who so far didn’t talk much to anyone, speak at length while occasionally laughing. Then, as time passed, her mother’s mental condition improved, and it couldn’t be separated from Uncle Mike’s help.Odette didn’t expect her mother to tell Uncle Mike everything, including her origins.“Senior, since when did you know about this? Why didn’t you tell me?”“A long time ago. Aunt Celestial didn’t want you to know because she didn’t want to make you sad. She also didn’t want to burden you with such unreasonable thoughts. She just wanted you to live a normal
Adriel created an ice wall for protection while Aiden searched for another target to pry on.He stretched out his hand and pulled Knight Erwin, who was fighting a vampire down there.“Huh?” Erwin was shocked when his neck was suddenly in Aiden’s grip. Before he realized what was happening, Aiden had already peered through his mind. From Erwin’s mind, Aiden got information about Rion’s current whereabouts.“Ooh, so he’s in Bosa right now and will come later.” Aiden grinned. He then dropped Erwin, and Adriel immediately helped the man before he crushed his head on the ground.“It’s no fun when my brother isn’t here.” Aiden raised his right hand.Soon, a meteor slowly emerged from the sky's black hole. It made everyone below hold their breath at the sight of it.The rumbling sounds were extremely terrifying.“Actually, how powerful is his power?” K
Another huge explosion occurred when one meteor was destroyed again. The palace walls cracked and shattered like bits of a wafer.Trish wiped his face from beads of sweat, which were pouring like rainwater. The same was experienced by Roul, Adriel, and others.Trish looked at Aiden, who was standing on the balcony of the Palace Tower and then looked at the sky, which was covered by thick black clouds. It seemed morning had come, but the sun couldn’t be seen and shone on them because of the cloud. It made him feel like time ticking seemed much longer than usual.Trish wondered whether, until now, the vampires were still weak against sunlight or not. If they were weak against sunlight, it would be advantageous to them if the clouds above them cleared up.How should they get rid of the cloud? Back in Naturi, the cloud disappeared after Aiden was defeated, but seeing Aiden’s current power, defeating him felt impossible. The vampire a
On a park bench in the middle of town, Odette and Hans sat side by side while reminiscing about their first meeting.Odette remembered that she ran around looking for help for her mother.“When everyone refused to help me, I felt hopeless. I get mad at them. If I hadn’t met Senior and Uncle Mike, I would have thought everyone was mean and heartless.”Odette stared at the people passing by in front of them. “For me, Senior and Uncle Mike are angels sent by God to help my mother and me.” She turned to Hans and smiled faintly, but her smile faded when she saw Hans’ flat face.“Hello.” Odette snapped her fingers in front of the man’s face.“What’s wrong?” she asked when Hans just snapped out of his reverie.“I’m flattered that you called me an angel. If Rion heard that, he would be jealous.”Odette smiled upon hearing that. “That’s right.
“The person who is successful today is the person who struggled yesterday, and the person who is strong today is the person who has overcome yesterday’s pain.”Aiden’s sword slashed Rion’s back, and Rion did the same thing to Aiden’s shoulder, causing blood to flow from each of the wounds. Head, stomach, chest, legs, and thighs, no place was spared from the sword's slash. Every time their blades clashed, nature reacted. They launched an attack in the blink of an eye.The wind was howling violently as hundreds of silvery-white lightning bolts streaked across the land below and repeatedly bombarded it. In seconds, the entire palace had been smitten and left in shambles. After half an hour of fighting continuously, Aiden and Rion distanced themselves, glaring at each other while staying alert. They were panting hard as sweat trickled on their skin and dampened their clothes.Tes... tes... tes...Blood also dr
The knights, as well as the medics, were exhausted. Even Anwen almost fainted, but someone caught her before she fell to the ground.“You?” She was surprised to find Prince Drystan in this place. Did Archadia also attack Panthera? As though he could read the accusation swirling in Anwen’s mind, Drystan said, “I’m here to help.”“What did you say?”Outside, the newly arrived Archadians rush to help the Panthera Knights fend off the revived monsters. Their arrival left the Panthera Knights in a state of puzzlement, but at the same time, they felt greatly helped by the arrival of the Archadia Troops. At the medical center camp, Drystan treated the citizens who hadn’t received any treatment with the power of the god’s blessing.Anwen oversaw the man. She knew that the mother of Drystan’s father was the High Priest of Archadia, and because of that he could have the god’s bles
The dazzling white light continued to expand, making the place look extremely bright. Five kilometers from the explosion, the ground shook and cracked. All the buildings that stood majestically fell down and were swallowed up by the earth. The incident lasted for approximately five minutes. During that time, the ground continued to split and swallow everything that was above it.Trish, Anwen, Roul, and Kaven were already outside the capital. They stood on the capital's border and watched the destruction unfold before them.“Big brothers…” Anwen’s pupils trembled while looking at the light in front of her. “Brother Rion, please don’t leave me.” Rion’s figure appeared in her mind as tears were brimming down her pale cheeks.Seeing his wife cry, Trish hugged Anwen as tears flowed down from his eyes. He also recalled Rion and the times they had spent together since they were young.‘Trish, I entrus
