Chapter 38
Khalid stood facing the window as Leo explained everything to him - Becca being pregnant without her knowledge, then losing the baby out of her fight with Octavia. He explained everything to him and when he was done, all Khalid gave was silence as he just focused on the window, staring through it.
Whatever he was thinking, he didn't want to let it known to anyone. So, he just remained silent.
"How's Becca now?" He finally asked, after taking a deep sigh.
"She's awake now. But hasn't spoken a word to anyone". Leo replied and Khalid nodded.
Then, he dismissed him and he bowed and left.
At a point, he felt pained and bittered that she had lost her baby; her child for him.
He could imagine the pains she was passing through and wondered why it had to happen in the first place.
