CHAPTER 2

Brianne Raye POV

“Hey, what happens? How did it go?” Manage Clea said as soon as I come out of the audition room.

“You didn’t read my message to you?” I said a little confused.

“Oh, I forgot my phone in the car. Why? What happens? Oh my---don’t tell me you got the part----” Manager Clea said as she covers her mouth happily when I suddenly spoke again and shake my head.

“No, I didn’t. I didn’t even get to act in front of them.” I said.

“Huh? Why? ---” She asks when the door behind suddenly opens and Sabrina came out.

“Oh, hi there Brianne! It’s been a long time since we saw each other!” She said and suddenly hug me and made out cheeks touch.

“Ah, yeah. It’s nice to see you here, how are you?” I ask smiling and she flips her hair back.

“Ah, so busy. I couldn’t even get a day off, too much endorsement to shoot.” She said. “How about you? Still, auditioning? Don’t tell me you still have to project?” she said and I can see her manager smirked.

“Oh, that---” I tried to speak.

“No, she’s also busy too you know. She’s been attending some interviews.” Manager Clea said.

“Interview? Wait? Why I didn’t see any on the tv?” Sabrina said and glance at her manager with a teasing smile.

“Well, it’s for some YouTube channels,” I answered.

“Oh, it’s just that ‘interview’,” Sabrina said and laugh as she emphasise the word 'interview'.

“This— “Manager Clea said and I shake my head at her a little.

“Yeah, it’s nice to see you here. We’ll get going now.” I said and smiled.

“Oh, okay. Don’t worry Bri I will recommend you to some project, you don’t mind even just a cameo or being an extra right?” Sabrina said smiling, an arrogant smile.

“We’ll get going, thank you for your kindness,” I said and grab Manager Clea’s hand and walk away from them.

I stayed quiet until we reach the car and when inside where David, manager Clea's boyfriend is waiting for us.

“I should have given that brat a black eye!” Manage Clea said as she sat on the passenger seat.

“There is no need for that, she just speaks the truth,” I said and sigh as I look out of the window as the car starts to drive away.

“What? Bri! Don’t ever listen to that Brat, for all we know she is getting those movies because of her mother! She didn’t even get to be nominated to any major award show even though they’re saying that every movie she is in is a hit, unlike you. You even got to be nominated for supporting actress!”  Manager Clea said.

“But I didn’t win,” I said.

“But you got nominated and that's a big thing already, but what about her?” Manager Clea said but I didn’t reply and just stayed silent as she continue to express her frustration.

After a minute the car stops at an intersection here in the city.

“Ahm, I’ll get off here,” I said and Manager Clea quickly turn her to me.

“What? Here? Why? What if one of your faces saw you? It’s dangerous Bri.” She said and I smiled and shake my head.

“I’ll wear a mask, besides I’m not that famous, I don’t even think that someone will even recognize me,” I said.

“Don’t say that! Bri---” she tried to say when I open the door and wear my cap and mask.

“I’ll see you later at the house, thank you!” I said and close the door and quickly run away from them.

Third Person POV

“Sir your next meeting will be in three hours, I think should have lunch first. I’ll call the restaurant----” A man sitting on the passenger seat of a black car said when he suddenly got interrupted.

“Don’t bother, I don’t have an appetite to eat.” The man sitting in the back seat holding a paper.

“Then do you want to go somewhere first?” The man on the passenger seat asks again.

“No, Secretary Hans I’ll get off here, I’ll call you when I’m done and pick me up for my meeting.” The man in the back seat said that made the guy sitting in the passenger seat's eyes widen.

“Sir---” The secretary tried to say but the man in the back seat was quick to get out of the car and shut the door. “He always does this!” the secretary uttered to himself and dialed someone on the phone.

“Hmm...I’m sure Bryan will like this.” Brianne said as she went out of the toy store, she stood on the sidewalk for a second as she finishes her coffee when an old homeless guy approaches her.

“Can I have your coffee miss? I’m thirsty.” The man said that made her speechless.

“Huh? My coffee?” She said a bit stunned. “Oh no, ahm, I already drunk this one. How about I buy you a new one? The coffee shop is just right there if you want.” She offered and the man's face lit up with joy and happily nodded his head. “Let’s go,” she said and smile at him.

As they entered the coffee shop Brianne smiled at the cashier.

“What do you want? You can order anything.” She said to the old man.

“Oh, anything is fine to me.” The old man replied.

“Then, three coffee lattes and also give me five of these croissants for taking out,” Brianne said to the cashier.

“Oh, that is too much Miss?” The old man said.

“My name is Brianne, it’s fine you can share it with your friends.” She said and handed her card to the cashier.

“So nice of you.” A tall man standing beside her said that made him look at him.

“It’s not a big deal.” She said smiling at him.

“Wait…you’re an actress, right? You’re Brianne Raye!” The lady Barista said to her.

“Ahm…ye-yes.” She answered a little shy as she took the bag of croissant and handed it to the old man behind her.

“Oh my gosh! Can I take a picture? I’m a fan, you’re really good at acting especially in the movie with Sabrina you are her best friend!” The lady barista said.

“Sure, t-thanks.” She said awkwardly as the barista took her phone out and they took a selfie.

“I hope I can see you more in movies or series, you’re really talented.” The lady barista said. “Here is your order sir.” The lady said again and handed the order to the tall man beside her and the man left.

“T-thank you.” She uttered and smile at her.

Brianne Raye POV

I quickly went out of the cab as I handed the payment to the driver, I pulled out my phone from my jacket and dialed someone’s number.

“huh? Why isn’t he answering? He said he doesn’t have any shoot and he will just stay at his place.” I said as the call didn’t go through. “Let’s just wait inside,” I said and put my phone back inside, and walk towards the huge luxurious apartment building.

I quickly pulled out the key card from my wallet as I stopped in front of the elevator that requires a keycard for you to get in and bring you to your floor destination. This day is so frustrating just like any other day for me because of another failed audition coming here is my only escape, he is my only escape. I’m sure he will be happy that I brought him his favorite cake.

I smiled at the person that get in the elevator as it opened on the fifteen floors and a couple get in.

I hope one day we can do this too, be public and no longer need to hide.

I get off the elevator as soon as it opens to the twenty-third floor and directly walk towards the apartment. I put down the thing in my hand and knock on the door but strangely no one opens it.

“Isn’t he supposed to be here?” I ask myself. “Maybe he’s sleeping,” I said and use the keycard again to open the door. “Babe? Are you here? I brought you something.” I said as I enter the place, but still no answer.

I quickly put my things on the table and make my way to the bedroom and tried to check if it was locked and it sure is.

“Babe you there?” I ask from the outside and knock but a couple of seconds pass but still no response from the person inside.

For some reason I started to feel like something wrong is going on inside, it was so bad that I feel like my heart is being gripped by a hand.

What if something happens to him?

Negative thoughts filled my head, I quickly made my way to the drawer and took out the key to the bedroom, and start to try opening the door.

“I’m going in,” I said as I unlock the door.

“What the hell I said----Bri…Brianne…” Vander said as soon as he realizes who is the person that opened the door.

“Vander…you---Sabrina? You…you two.” I said as I stared at them in shock.

It was him and Sabrina naked in one bed as he is on top of her, my boyfriend…the person that I thought I could trust is having sex with the person who always look down on me.

“Bri, I can explain,” Vander uttered as he covers himself with a blanket and tried to come closer to me.

“No, don’t---don’t come near me,” I said stepping back as tears rolled down my face. “You’re a liar and a cheater.”
