Chapter- 22

The manager asked his workers to bring the special cake they made for the Christmas evening.

“Sir, you have to cut the cake,” the manager asked Hector who’s sitting and watching the people dancing.

“No, Dan and Tamika should do it. This is your honeymoon after all,” he said. Dan looked at his wife with a smile and they both got up to cut the cake.

The Merry Christmas song was played by the band and they all congratulated the couple. Then the waiter served the cake to everyone gathered there.

“We should do this often, brother. Spending Christmas somewhere like this,” Dylan said.

“Yeah. We should,” Hector nodded. “Then next time, I want you both to cut the cake as a newly married couple,” Hector said.

“We will brother,” Dylan smiled. Ashley noticed how much he respects Hector; it’s not like how the usual brother would be.

When Ashley was silently chewing her pasta with her own thinking and all, Hector got her attention by saying, “You got something on your lips,”
