Before Skyler had hugged Lucifer from behind he was already aware of her presence but he pretended not to know.

Even as he stood in the balcony staring up at the stars he was listening to the ladies conversation in the dinning room after Jared left him alone.

He had been fuming mad ever since Skyler had not paid him attention for quite some days even the servants in the mansion were feeling the dark aura emitting from him and were scared to come close to him stay where he was.
