Chapter 17 (Part 1)

“You have to be there on time, Aurella. Promise me that you won't be late.”

Matthew is smiling at me ear to ear. He is talking about the contract signing which will happen this afternoon.

“Of course, I won't be late. When was the last time I was late?” I have this mischievous smile formed by my lips because I know damn well that I am sometimes late.

Matthew rolls his eyes at me. “Darling, you have been late for several times. You're lucky that you're one of the best of your field.”

“Exactly. They need me and my popularity, so, they'll wait for me.”

Matthew gives me one last gesture of his attitude before leaving me alone in the table that we both occupied.

I decided to talk to him about the agreement with Calvin Klein here at Clara's. Because I knew that it will take us a very long time to tackle it that lunchtime just a little later.
