Chapter 22 (Part 1)

After Lucas took me to the doctor for more consultation, we cleared everything else for me to be released from the hospital.

We're now in his car, and I have no choice but to be his passenger princess for today.

“What are your plans for the rest of the day?” He asks, eyes focused in front as he drives out of the parking lot.

“Not much now that I need to take some rest.” I stare outside the window as I observe the weather. The sky is still a little gloomy and a little generous for a light shower of rain.

“Are you hungry?” I lean my head against the window and I close my eyes to avoid getting dizzy. “A little bit.” I respond, and then I feel his hands fasten my seatbelt for me.

“Then we're getting food before I drive you home.”

That was the last thing said before silence reigned over us.

It didn't take a long time for the sprinkling to turn into a strong pouring rain. The weather must be feeling a little sad today. If only I knew, I should've stayed in my penthouse.
