South of Crescent pack, back at the castle, Damon could be seen pacing the floors impatiently, like he was waiting for some kind of news. Which he was. It’s been almost an entire month now since his scouts have been stalking the pack they found her, but so far, the spell the moon goddess did to hide them doesn’t seem to have a loophole or an expiration date. And he was getting frustrated waiting.

The elders didn’t make it easier, by sending him warnings every two days. He was beginning to think, ripping out their tongues would spare him from their constant warning. The door was pushed open and he looked up at Hale with so many questions written on his face.

“Tell me you have some news,” he asked. “Any news.”

“No I’m afraid not.” Hale sighed. “It’s like they don’t want to be found. They are covering their tracks well. Almost too well if you ask me, but the scouts have confirmed that there’s nothing new to report.”
