Aria left my father’s office and I stood rooted to the floor, wondering from where she got the guts to ignore me and walk away. And the strangest thing was that I could do nothing about it. Was it because she was my father’s favourite, or was it something else, something incomprehensible to me?

She wasn’t afraid to confront me and tell me off. How could a simple Omega, sorry Warrior, be so insolent to her future Alpha? Wasn’t she afraid I would punish her when I took my father’s position?

“Apparently she is not,” Cole interrupted my thoughts.

“And she said she would go where she felt wanted, which means where Darius is,” Cole clarified.

“Shit!” I growled and left my father’s office.

“Where are you going, Daniel? Aren’t you the one who said you want nothing to do with her? Why go after her then? What’s bothering you so much?” My wolf was being aggressive with me.
