Liam’s POV

For a brief moment I thought that Alpha Xavier had erased me from Adira’s memory and that she was going to attack me. There was no way that I was going to fight her, I couldn’t live knowing that I had laid a hand on her. So instead I braced for the impact and for whatever followed, all while I told her that I loved her, through a link I was sure was severed.

But to my surprise the impact never came, and the words “I love you” came to me through our link.
