The black t-shirt dress felt smooth against my skin, not irritating my wounds one bit. The blinds shielding the windows of Frances's office didn't do much to block out the afternoon sun shining through, creating yellow lines on the wall behind me. My nerves were sated by the fingers trailing my arm softly, up and down. I leaned back into Tate's chest farther, wishing that we could just snap our fingers and everything would be back to normal.
