When Freya awoke, Arthur was soundly asleep beside her. She carefully got out of bed and slipped out of his room. It was calm around and it was dark, which meant that everyone was sleeping.

After taking a quick look at her bandaged wound, she entered her room and took a seat on the bed. She grinned broadly, remembering how everything went according to plan with Flarry in the execution.

“They must think that they have finally succeeded, not knowing that I am stronger than they think,” she muttered and heaved a big sigh of relief. A glance at the wall clock, it was past midnight. “I slept for hours? Did I faint or something?" she pursed her lips.

While she lay in bed, she started to think back on what Arthur had told her. Everything that came out of his mouth seemed implausible, but given the way he has been treated as King and the nature of his rule, she could come to believe him.
