An attack occurred on Arthur three days after Freya was placed in the cell. While surveying the palace and attempting to compose himself, an arrow grazed his chin and went through the side of his face.

His mouth hanging open, he felt his chin, finding a small amount of blood, and dabbed it with his handkerchief. He turned to his left, and as he did so, he picked up the arrow that had been shot at him on the ground.

Reading what was written there, his brows tightened, and he remembered that same day when Freya had lost two of her arrows.

"She is not the culprit!" His hand balled up. He looked up to see Flarry on the rooftop, this time pointing a rifle at him. “That assassin again?” he shook his head. He turned around and started walking toward the rooftop, saying, "This is not his mask; he must be the one that battled me that day."

Being an experienced Alpha, he had no trouble reaching the rooftop, and when he did, he spotted nobody.
