chapter 15

Lux pov.

I watched as she ran away from me, her long hair flowing behind her like a trail of fire. I could hear the soft thud of her feet hitting the ground as she ran, her breath coming out in short gasps. She looked like a frightened deer, scared and alone in the forest.

I wasn't the type to just stand around and do nothing; I was pissed off, and I wanted to make her pay for running away like that. I knew I had to be careful, though. I had to keep my anger in check if I didn't want to hurt her or her unborn child.

I was only doing that because I didn't want my child to get hurt, but after she gives birth, I will make sure she pays for every mistake she makes. I will teach her a lesson she won't forget.

I shouted out to my beta, Alex, as I told him to go get me Catherine. It's difficult to remember her name, but after hearing the other slave call her Cat, I thought that was much easier to say. I needed to talk to her and find out what was going on in her head.

I sat on my bed as
