Chapter 60

“I know, it’s bad for my health. I know Lily told you that you need to bee attentive to my sleep hours, but I swear I do what I can.”

Lily had appeared one night, completely out of nowhere. Hunter was asleep, while I worked. The little witch spilled a glass of water on him to wake him up and tell her that he had to stop me.

From that day, I always had nightmares. Raw nightmares. Most were about losing Hunter in different ways. In some when I appeared it was too late, but in others … in others it was me who ended up killing him.

Fear would not let me sleep, so I concentrated on looking for solutions.

I was afraid of losing Hunter and nobody could understand it. His birthday would be in three days and no matter how much I wanted to be with him just being a couple of teenagers, I could not afford it. Not with a war on the way.

I spent the nights sailing, thinking, analysing, and trying to get a solution.
