It was clear. I had to prove myself but what pisses me off is that I feel like I'm competing for Greg's love when I already have it. It pisses me off, to put myself on so much display. But I can't just sit there and think that it's up to Greg to do all the work.

He must certainly have a lot to do with the pack, potential traitors within it, hunters, mutants, and the threat of my grandfather and his henchmen. Honestly, if I can spare him another worry then I'd gladly do so.

" I completely understand the delicate situation in which I find myself…"

I looked at Greg.

"I can't impose myself this way on people who don't know anything about me. I think it's time for me to show some maturity and do something for the good of the pack. If that's the only thing to allow me to legitimize my position alongside the Alpha then I'm willing to comply."

" But Sophia, think carefully, you don't know what traps these people will set for you. I cannot attest to their honor at this tournament."
