101 The Goodbye
Kirsch's POV
[Willa! Are you alright? Where are you?!] I almost burst into shouting, in the happiness of hearing her voice.
She was sitting on a rock by the sea, with only the dark waves in front of her.
Of course she was by the sea.
[I'm fine, thanks. Glad you woke up.] She was smiling, but there was a shade of aloofness in Willa's tone. I guess she had always been cold to me.
[Little one, where are you right now?] Taran asked with a smile, gentle as ever. I watched in shock as Willa bit her lips and dodged Taran's eyes.
She had never been cold to Taran! When he was around, it was like her eyes could only fit him and nothing more. Willa must be really hurt this time for her to keep Taran at distance.
[I'm really sorry for what happened. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you--] Taran started with a more cautious tone. He noticed Willa's abnormal attitude toward him as well.

Nyx RaiIt's not easy to choose to stay close to someone you care when you think you might hurt them, but still, it's better to keep them around someone who cared about them rather than pushing them away. A lesson Taran is going to learn, soon.

His injuries couldn't have healed yet! I needed to help him! [I'll take care of it. Stay with your granny.] Taran pulled me up by my hoody before he handed me to granny. Granny bit my cloak before she pinned me down with her paw, eyes locking on the wolves in front of us, on guard.
