Chapter 64.

Eddie's POV

I was still on my bed, thinking about Amelia and what had happened between us just a few moments ago when my eyes began to droop tiredly. I let out a huge yawn that shocked even myself as soon as it escaped, causing me to briefly wonder why I was so exhausted. My eyes fell on the huge desk and leather chair in one corner of my room and I suddenly realized why as it clicked into place.

I scratched my hair as I remembered how sleep had eluded me for a while, mostly after I had met Amelia again. There were several nights that I tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep with my mind busy and buzzing. And true to nature, I had not wasted that opportunity. Every night, I would get up after finding it difficult to sleep, grab my briefcase and my laptop, turn on the lights, walk over to my desk, settle in it comfortably or as comfortably as I could and just work.
