Chapter 73.

Amelia's POV

As Eddie's body covered mine, I could distinctly hear the faint sound of a phone ringing. I ignored it and pulled him closer to myself.

He groaned low in his throat, whispering my name like a prayer as the fire between us burned hotter. The sound of the ringing phone grew louder and louder, until I could no longer ignore it. I tore my mouth from Eddie's, panting heavily. He continued kissing me, planting little kisses down my neck as I tried to look around for the ringing phone.

"Eddie," I called out his name.

Eddie's POV

"Ignore it," I said to Amelia, hoping she would listen and not let the ringing phone distract us from what we had been doing.

She giggled softly, making small attempts to push me away as she said, "I think it's your phone. It could be important. No one would call this late if it wasn't important."

I groaned softly, knowing she was right, but at the same time, wanting to turn off my phone and chuck it into the garbage disposal.

I pulled away from her
