*****Elvira's POV*****

The expected death I waited for never came. Instead, I opened my eyes to the bright lights of the current warehouse I was placed in this time.

I blinked, trying to get the grogginess off my vision and take in the sight of the new environment. After a while of just blinking my eyes, I could finally see that I was tied up in a warehouse.

The door clicked and I looked towards it to see the guard from before walking in with food. I initially thought the food was for me, but he sat down and began to eat the meal instead.

He watched me for a split second and shook his head, immediately going back to his meal and ignoring me. I tried to reach out to Dahlia, but her response was extremely low and distant.

“Don't worry, the boss would soon be here. Then you'll just relax and be fine.” The guard suddenly muttered without looking at me.

What exactly was his definition of relax and be fine?

Even though I felt fear of what was to come, I still couldn't let the fear get to me
