Venus is fidgeting nervously in the garden, waiting for her spy to return. The news of the impending trial and invasion of Sloria has spread throughout the court and she is scared for her life. Ivan will be sent to Sloria for the trial and she is having a very ominous feeling.
To top it all, that damn Roseanne Vadimovna is the Duchess! How did I miss this? Venus wonders.
The door opens and a soldier enters the garden. He bows before her but Venus is too impatient.
“What news do you have?” she demands.
“Your Highness, I had my men ask around in Sloria,” the soldier replies. “They said that the Duke returned alone from Hapsberg and that the Duchess did not return with him.”

He has never seen such clean roads with perfectly lined houses which look as if they are owned by rich merchants. The sky darkens as midnight arrives. Leaving Ivan’s body in the sauna room, Aria and the soldiers quietly make their way towards the kitchen of the inn. She looks around to make sure that there is no one around and presses something on the wall.It jerks open, sliding aside to reveal a long tunnel.
