Faiz keeps looking back and forth. Although she understood a little bit of what happened inside, she was still too confused to grasp the whole situation.

“Amelia! Are you really a lady boss of the mansion where their daughter works?” Faiz couldn't see any resemblance to a rich and elegant lady in Amelia.

Her question was legit. To her surprise, Amelia just laughed it off and chuckled; her expression right now expressed both scorn and sadness.

“I don't have a single penny on me. How can I be a lady of a rich house? I am just a servant from the same mansion where their daughter works. I lied.”

Amelia scorned herself, knowing how she lied to them, but she had no choice. If she were to say she has money because she is the friend of their daughter and works in the same mansion as a servant like her, they wouldn't have told her anything about the man and might have doubted her countless times. So this was the safest way to complete the task.
