I blink awake slowly. White walls surround me instead of the soft lavender of my dorm room.
Where...???
Oh right, this is my new home. The same room I've being waking up to for the past four? Five days? Great. Now I'm also losing track of time as well.
The breakfast room like Mrs. Fina called it is just like any dining room. It's just a little less formal? The table is circular instead of rectangular so there's no head. Anyone can sit wherever they please without being disrespectful. Two servants in black dresses and white apron walk in carrying trays of freshly baked bread. The blonde one smiles at me;she should be around sixteen. "No need to wait ma'am! You can begin I'm surethe boss won't mind " she says cheerily the other one with a slightly darker hair gives her a look that clearly said shut up.
"I'll give you a tour later" Tommy says to me as soon as the table begins to clear out. The chair to my right moves before Dominiko stood up. He's leaving. "Oh,sure. Give me a sec" I say before pushing my chair back.
"What do you mean no!?" I snapped "Did I stutter?" he glared at me. If I wasn't so mad, I'd calm the hell down and apologize for mouthing off but thinking clearly was already out the window. He didn’t even thi
I explore the house a little on my way back. The breakfast room long empty when I walked past it. I stopped to study some paintings that caught my eyes on my way upstairs, popping my head into a few rooms to take a look, so far, I’ve found a mini movie theater, a gaming room, the library, another study and an indoor pool, it takes me a while to find my way back up to my rooms, all while ignoring the presence of Danilo behind me at least he was a safe distance away. Back in my living room I sit on the couch thinking of what to occupy the time with. Then I decided to check out the dining area up here.
Light gray eyes stare back at me as I look into the mirror. Wet dark like hair clings to my small face. I feel different. I don't know why I keep staring at myself as I've being doing for the past… at least fifteen minutes? A drop of water runs from my scalp then rows down my temple then down the side of my face, cheek then my neck. Yesterday after my very intense discussion with Dominiko, and hanging out with the girls in the kitchen tommy joined us sometime in the afternoon. And my day went from there. He took me on a tour round the mansion. My legs were hu
A feather like touch caressing over my upper arm wakes me up. I shield my face from the light by snuggling deeper into the warmth I know is my husband. I've come to accept what an octopus I become in my sleep. And he's just so warm. Then again, he's never complained and until he does, I refuse to blame myself for something I do in my sleep. Smooth fingers run through my hair as if to say
About fifteen minutes into the drive the car comes to a stop. Dominiko steps out first before helping me out of the car. Arm in arm we walk into a white brick building with a cross at the top. A number of people lingered at entrance, Men and women in pairs, some of them with little children. Most of the older women had on hats, o
It's at least ten minutes since we've being driving. Since then, the houses we've passed are huge Italian styled mansions. Makes me believe everyone close by is part of the family one way or the other. I suppose it will be easier to keep everyone save if there was an attack or something. Mama always said the family is stronger together. For the next minutes I play with my phone checking out the apps. In my contact I have only three names. Danilo, Dominiko and Miguel. Who is Miguel? I pondered. I get bored and stared out the window, counting the houses we pass by. "Can I go out today?" I ask, still looking out the window. Dominiko who has being operating his phone since he got into the car replied. "No" not even taking his eyes from his phone. "Why not!" I cried.
