43. THE SUFFERING OF ELISHA

In a separate place, just after Malik contacted Alexander Guan.

"You heard it yourself, didn't you? I did what you told me to do. So, let my brother go right now!" said Malik, throwing his cell phone on the table. Furious with rage.

The glare was directed at a thirty-year-old man who had no heart and no feelings.

Leonardo moved from the sofa, took out his cell phone from his pants pocket. Then pressed one contact from thousands of stored numbers.

[Quick, let go of that lousy girl!]

Leonardo unceremoniously ended the call. "Did you hear? I've asked my men to release your dear sister." He said in a mocking tone.

Malik clenched one hand into a fist. Leonardo glanced over and smiled wryly. "Remember, our hard work isn't done here. I can do more than this, if you dare to betray!" he threatened, before finally waltzing out of the room.

Malik was still rooted to his spot.

"Fuck!" He swore and shouted. He was so angry that he kicked the innocent table made of glass, shattering it.
