Chapter 16 rejection?

Birds sang melodiously as they welcomed the new day. The orange sun rays shone on plants as the sun rose from the east. The air was fresh and the day was very promising.

Outside the old mansion at the door, stood a man. His pitch-black hair was a mess and there were dark circles under hid eyes caused by lack of enough sleep for weeks.
