“Mr. Smith…. I… I was just trying to check if I could climb out from this end; since I couldn't find my way around, I'm sorry for ruining your garden....” She stammered, her hand pointing to the hedge she had stepped on.
Liam gaze had not fluttered since she started speaking, it was as though he was not even listening to her in the first place. Kate felt cold sweat running down her spine and some forming on her forehead as Liam stared intently at her; she didn't even know what to say anymore.
