“Mother, here is the water,” he informed. Thereafter, he sat beside her, and waited for her response. When she was not forthcoming, he tapped her leg, and sat up. Then, he attempted to raise her head and give her the water. To his consternation, she was lifeless.

“Mother,” he called out anxiously. Then, he lifted one of her hands, and it dropped like a pack of cards. Now, he gave her a push, and asked cried out in agony, “What is going on?”

When he could not get an answer, he ran out of the house to get help. His world almost collapsed when he realized that his mother, and only parent, had drawn her last breath.
