Chapter 80

Wolfaraine got back from the council meeting in the evening, with Degar walking beside him. He didn't go straight to his bedroom, instead, he stopped by Alphose's bedroom.

The Cougar Alpha was awake and sitting on his bed. A smile crossed his features as he saw the Alpha King walk into the bedroom.

"Alpha King..." He bowed his head in greeting. Then, he acknowledged the Leopard Alpha with a wave of his bandaged arm.

"What are you doing up, Alphose? You should be getting some rest so that your recovery will be swift and without delay." The Alpha King has underlying concern visible behind the cool expression he was wearing. That, and exhaustion.

"I have been resting all day. I just had dinner now." Alphose looked down at himself, "I think I'm recovering as fast as I can."

"All thanks to Eline. You have a good friend there, Cougar Alpha."

"I know, right?" Alphose grinned, "I am most grateful to her. Although she was looking quite worried this morning. I think she believes that she has d
