I twitched and winced at the sudden pain in my abdomen. I tried to divert my attention back to the book in my hand. I turned to the next chapter and the pain cut through my stomach again. “Ouch!” I cried, clenching my tummy. The book fell off my hands as I found myself shrinking. I tried to relax on the bed, but I began writhing at the sharp pain. “Oh God! What’s wrong with me again?” the pain was similar to the heat stuff. Could I still be feeling the heat by now? Is it normal? I swallowed hard, trying to subdue the pain by clutching my tummy and curling up. I even placed a pillow between my thighs, but nothing changed. Tears broke through my eyes and I grunted. I couldn’t take it anymore and gathered myself off the bed. I stumbled over, dropping to the floor as my legs failed me.
