Gabriella walked back into the mansion slowly. She looked exhausted and sad. The entire mansion was silent, and only the sound of her shoes clicking could be heard.

As she got to a point in the passage, she stopped walking. She rested her back on the wooden wall gently, and tears suddenly rolled out of her eyes.

She sat on the ground and placed her palms on her face.

“Why? Why me? I had a simple life as a maid in the Montgomery mansion, all I wanted was a little more, and now everyone and everything is going to die because of me. If only Steven didn't reject me.” Gabriella thought to herself.
