“I’m really sorry, Geoffrey. I'm here for you if you need me,” Robbert said, placing his left palm on Geoffrey’s shoulder. He had a concerned expression on his face, and his heart was filled with worry for his best friend. They both sat on a bench along the street in front of the wedding hall. An ambulance had arrived, and people were gathered there.

“Thank you, Lord Robbert,” Geoffrey said softly. He turned to the other end of the street and saw Edith sitting by herself on a bench opposite theirs.
