~3RD PERSON'S POV~

“Get away from us, witch!" A kid yelled as he threw a tomato at Marie.

“She has the eyes of a demon! She'll kill us all." Another yelled, throwing a rock at her. They were at the center of a large market, and Marie sat on the ground, staring at the sand as she received insults and beatings from the people around her.

“Go back to where you came from! We never want to see you here again,” another man yelled. Marie just sat quietly with an emotionless expression on her face. She could hear the people's screams and could feel the hatred toward her, but she paid no attention to it.

“Mr. William's… Hunt, it's gone,” she thought to herself, staring at the sand. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. She clenched her fist tightly and gritted her teeth as she closed her eyes. Someone had stolen the game she brought to sell at the market, and because of the commotion going on around her, she had no way of finding it.
