I had always known my way in and out of anywhere I desired in the pack, more especially the palace.

No one knows me there, and no one can tell if a new face enters the palace unless the intruder dares his stars by going deeper than is necessary.

I had agreed with Aden the other time that we would meet once a week to discuss our progress when I successfully planted him in the Luna’s chamber as my agent, for the sole purpose of using him against his mistress.

I chose a seat in the palace canteen and waited patiently for him to show without waiting for me to send him text or call him on phone to do as we discussed.

Clad in my usual gloomy attire, I am sure that only Aden could tell whom I am when he enters the canteen.

The rest would see me as a regular old man who had come to ask for free food.

I did not place an order, though I knew that food in the palace canteen is free for old people, supposedly like me.

I didn’t come to benefit from a system that was put in place by an enemy
