Chapter 11

All through my journey home, I had nasty and wild imaginations about Oliver; it was as though I jumped into a still pond and struggling hard not to be swept away by the storm. I couldn't seem to get him off my mind, and the more I thought about him, the more intrigued I was. I heaved a sigh of relief when I got to my apartment.

"Home, sweet home!" I exclaimed while I threw myself on the couch. I wondered how I was going to face him again after everything that went down between us and how I was going to spend time with him as I used to without jumping into his arms. And kissing the hell out of him. I could swear Oliver had possessed me, but when and how he did it was one thing I couldn't explain. It felt really weird to feel this way for my best friend.

"I should put a stop to this madness," I murmured to myself while trying to calm my nerves. I got up from the couch and made my way to the refrigerator to get myself a cool drink. Maybe, just maybe, it would calm my ass down.
